Last weekend was full of festivities for Mollie & Josh's wedding. I was lucky enough to be a part of the bridal party and got to meet a really fantastic group of girls from all over the country. We all started out Thursday night for Mollie's bachelorette party. We began the night at
Cuchi Cuchi, a retro Hollywood-themed restaurant. They had "tapas style" food and an amazing cocktail menu. We barraged Mollie with gifts and surprised her with a special cupcake party favor. I can't wait to go back.
After Cuchi Cuchi, we headed over to the
Enormous Room - a bar/lounge in Central Square that is not so enormous, but very cozy. There was lots of drinks and dancing. As a side note, while waiting in line for the restroom, this super nice fellow let me go before him. I didn't even ask - he just must have known I was about to explode. I bought him a drink later as a thank you for being so kind.
Friday was a super full day. Mollie was a little under the weather from all of the festivities of the night before, so she stayed home while all of the bridesmaids spent an afternoon together. Mollie was very much missed. We started off with brunch at
Trident and had manicures at
Emerge after. Mollie's mom met us after the manis and guided us to our gift from Mollie. Oh - what a splendid gift it was! We all got to design our own
handbags! There will never be a more generous bride than Mollie!
Later that evening was the rehearsal and dinner. All of the bridesmaids immediately formed a crush on the cute and funny English priest. I wish I had a picture to show everyone. The dinner later was at
Sasso - a super nice Italian restaurant in the Back Bay.
Saturday was the big day. We got our hair done at
James Joseph Salon and had a make-up artist from
Melt come to Mollie's bridal suite at the
Taj to do all of the bridesmaids' make-up. What a treat. I don't think I've ever been so pampered. Mollie was just the most stunning bride I've ever seen - REALLY! The service was beautiful and the reception at the
Boston Public Library was incredible.
