South Dakota has some really interesting landscapes. It goes from super flat to hilly and back. There aren't very many trees and the ones you do see are always next to an unexpected body of water.
I wasn't too sure how much I would like the Badlands. I'd heard awesome things about them, but I was still a bit skeptical. As soon as we entered the park, I was in awe. I've never seen anything like this before, and it's hard to believe that people settled in this area.
I'm sorry I ever doubted the Badlands. It was a great place to camp - gorgeous sunset and sunrise - and a nice place to just chill.
